INTRODUCTION

The Academy of Audio Visual Arts and Sciences (AA-VAS) is a organization dedicated to the field of media development in Nepal. In the year 1998, when AA-VAS was envisioned, the world was moving towards the 21st century overwhelming with broadcasting Communication and was narrowing down to a small village every moment. Nepal was caught in the throes of this fast development unaware and unprepared. But it could not remain aloof from the rest of the world for long. THE FACULTIES

AA-VAS has a resource pool of competent professionals in the field of radio, television and related disciplines of electronics media. Specialists in the area of communication planning , institutional development, sound engineering, film direction and production, program production, drama production, tele-films and tele-serial program production ( both educational and entertainment ), training and multimedia, are regularly involved in the programs conducted by AA-Vas and some experts are available as and when necessary.

LONG TERM PLAN

AA-VAS also envisages conducting long term training programmes leading to university degrees as well. To enhance learning opportunities for the students, AA-VAS will also continue to produce TV/Radio programs. In the long run it will have training cum production wing that is supposed to help sustainability of the institution.

AVAILABLE FACILITES

AA-VAS has a well equipped training facility and well functional production house in Nepal. It envisions itself to be the best training institute in electronic media and also a primary source of software production in currents affairs, educational programs, promotion of cultural heritage, business and entertainment program production in Nepal.
